How to Create a Cozy Bunny Corner at Home

Bunnies are sensitive little creatures. They love routine, soft surfaces, and a quiet spot they can call their own. Creating a cozy bunny corner doesn't require a big budget or a dedicated room — just a thoughtful layout and the right essentials.
Pick a calm, low-traffic spot
Choose a corner away from loud appliances, busy doorways and direct sunlight. Bunnies feel safest when they can see what's happening but aren't in the middle of it. A spot near a wall, with a soft rug underneath, works beautifully.
Layer in soft, washable surfaces
Hard floors are tough on rabbit feet. Add a flat-weave rug, a soft mat, or a cotton blanket so your bunny has something gentle to rest on. Choose materials you can shake out and machine-wash easily.
Give them a hideout
A small hideout or tunnel turns a corner into a safe haven. Even confident bunnies appreciate a covered spot to retreat to during nap time or when guests visit.
Keep food, water and hay nearby
Place a hay rack, a small water bottle and a feeding bowl close by — but not on top of the sleeping area. Bunnies prefer to eat and rest in slightly different zones.
Add gentle enrichment
Round things off with a chew toy or two and a small woven ball. Rotate the toys every week to keep things interesting without cluttering the space.
